Our Story
We would like to share our story of goodness from grass to glass with you.
Our Anchor Brand comes from New Zealand, a source of pure goodness.
Today, thanks to over 134 years of good ‘old dairy know-how, modern innovation and ingenuity, the goodness of Anchor is available in over 160 products and 80 countries.
Our products are made with the goodness of dairy, whether it’s milk, yoghurt or cheese. Nature’s way of helping you start strong and go strong daily.
We believe that goodness feeds greatness.
This is why we strive to champion human potential, drop by drop, glass by glass, day by day.
Because achieving greatness isn’t something that happens overnight, it’s something you work towards with strength and self-belief, every single day.
As you can see, we are passionate about dairy and what it can do for life.
Anchor has been around for more than 130 years. Henry Reynolds, who founded Anchor, arrived in New Zealand from Cornwall in 1868. His Anchor butter was recognised for its quality and soon went onto win a gold medal at the Melbourne Exhibition in 1888. The valued brand went from strength to strength and Henry decided to sell Anchor to the New Zealand Dairy Association in 1896 which was to become part of Fonterra Co-operative in 2001.
Every day we get up early, collect milk from our farmers, protect its freshness in Light Proof bottles, and deliver it to stores ourselves. So, you can enjoy all the goodness of Anchor fresh milk.
Care at every Step – that’s our promise to you.
Fonterra is a dairy co-operative, owned by 9,000 farming families. In New Zealand, farming is a way of life and we want to share that goodness with the world. From our farms to your home, we take great care to protect the nourishing goodness of milk at every step.
Behaving in a socially responsible way is central to our business decisions. From respecting our stakeholders to behaving transparently, and from valuing the importance of community to supporting nutrition programmes for our children.
