Quick and Easy Apple Pie

Method
  1. Cover a deep baking tray with Anchor Unsalted Butter and dust with flour.
  2. Peel and then cut the apples into thin slices (note: thick ones won't bake through and will be crunchy!)
  3. Separate egg yolks from egg whites.
  4. Beat egg whites with the sugar until fluffy.
  5. Add in the egg yolks and beat a bit longer.
  6. Very gently fold in the flour.
  7. Pour a bit of the batter into the tray, ensuring about 1 cm covers the bottom.
  8. Add all the apple slices, then top with the remaining batter.
  9. Bake at 180°C for 45 mins to 1 hr.
  10. Allow to cool, remove from the tray, and dust with a mixture of icing sugar and cinnamon.
  11. Cut into large squares and serve with Anchor Whipping Cream.
