Butter Cake with Cheese Topping

(A) Flour base
(B) Topping
Method
  1. Pre-heat oven to 150C.
  2. Cream butter with sugar at high speed until pale and fluffy. Add one egg at a time and mix well.
  3. Add vanilla essence and milk to the butter mixture.
  4. Divide the flour base (A) into two batches. Add 1 portion to the butter mixture and mix at low speed until combined. Do the same with the second portion.
  5. Transfer batter into greased and lined loaf pan.
  6. Bake at 150C for 45 min, then 180C for 10 min.
  7. Top with cheese strips and sugar, return to oven for 3 minutes until melted.
  8. Let cool before cutting and enjoy.

Tip: For added flavour, prepare a brownie base first.
