Anchor Aims Games
The Anchor AIMS Games is New Zealand’s premier sporting event for intermediate students, giving each and every participant a chance to improve their natural potential.
The AIMS Games gives 11, 12 and 13 year olds the chance to compete as an individual or in a team against the best of their age in twenty different sports. The aim of the event is to provide opportunities for the student in the middle years to compete at an elite level, be active, celebrate fair play and enjoy success. It is through events such as this that these students will be provided with challenges and the possibility to perform to a high standard.
Since its inception in 2004 they have grown from 760 competitors representing 17 schools and four sporting codes to the 2016 AIMS GAMES which were embraced by 9,300 competitors representing 275 schools from throughout New Zealand, Tonga and the Cook Islands.
